After completing her two-day official visit, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman left for the Chinese city of Dalian. He flew on a special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 5pm local time on Monday (June 22nd).
The prime minister’s additional press secretary Atiqur Rahman Ruman confirmed the matter to the media. He said that after the bilateral meeting and various programmes in Malaysia, the prime minister is now going to Dalian, China, where she will attend a two-day busy program.
In Dalian, the Prime Minister will attend the annual conference of the World Economic Forum. The conference, known internationally as ‘Samar Davos’, was attended by heads of government, policymakers, businessmen and economic experts from different countries of the world.
At the end of the Dalian program, the prime minister will visit Beijing, the capital of China. The main stage of his state visit will begin. During the visit, important discussions on bilateral relations, trade, investment, infrastructure development and strategic cooperation between Bangladesh and China are likely to be discussed.
Malaysia’s Religious Affairs Minister Zulfiqli Hasan said the prime minister was “Bunga Roy Complex” at the VIP terminal of Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Bangladesh High Commissioner to Bangladesh Manjurul Karim and Deputy High Commissioner Shahanara Molika were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, Tarique Rahman held a meeting with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during his visit to Malaysia. The meeting discussed the expansion of the labour market, increased trade, investment and opportunities for Bangladeshi workers.
